U.S. Catholic bishops partly to blame for Charlottesville, historically and presently

Last weekend's violent and deadly White Nationalist protest of the removal of the Robert E. Lee statue at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia undoubtedly shows America is in another Civil War between patriots and domestic terrorists. Even though the original Civil War was won by the Union (North) states, we Yanks have never forcefully told the Southerners to dump their historical artifacts and (often sad) reminders of what took place.

In the case of General Lee, he was actually a hero in the Mexican-American War and buddies with Ulysses S. Grant at one time. Due to this Congress actually voted to pardon him by posthumously restoring his U.S. citizenship back in the 1970's after the Jim Crow South was finally desegregated.

The Left is successfully removing the statues of former slave owners, including President Andrew Jackson in New Orleans (who was the General who won the Battle of New Orleans during the War of 1812). Who's next? George Washington? John Adams? Ben Franklin? Thomas Jefferson (the founder of the University of Virginia)? George Mason? Abraham Lincoln?

On State Street in Boston sits the Old State House, the seat of the colonial government of Massachusetts. Now privately owned, the original exterior remains in-tact, with a lion and a unicorn on each side of the roof facade. Guess what these character symbols are? They're that of Coat of Arms of Great Britain, with the lion symbolizing England and the unicorn Wales. Yes, we fought two wars against King George III and later forgave each other permanently during the reign of Queen Victoria, but the Boston patriots who assisted in winning American Independence never dumped their former motherland's symbol.

Now how does the Catholic hierarchy have a piece of the blame pie? It all started during the Civil War when Pope Pius IX (a Jeffersonian libertarian by today's standards) wrote a letter to Confederate President Jefferson Davis stating that the Holy See recognized the C.S.A. as a sovereign nation, despite legal slavery as one of the major topics of this "country's" existence. Once the Democratic Party regained control of the Southern states and implemented Jim Crow laws against blacks, the Catholic bishops did not fight them but instead established negro parishes to enforce segregation. Up North where most of the Catholics lived (native born and immigrant) ethnic parishes were established to help assimilate immigrants into American society. Hence, while every parish had the Traditional Latin Mass like every other English-speaking parish, these parishes were "de-facto" segregation not envisioned in Canon Law nor had any historical precedence in Catholicism. This is part of the Americanist Heresy.

Ethnic parishes, predominately located in big and medium-sized cities, faded-out by the post-World War II Baby Boom when Catholics (like their other fellow Americans) started to build in the suburbs, which prompted the building of new parish churches without regard to race or ethnicity.

Vatican II's allowance of native-tongue liturgies did not and still to this day make all U.S. Catholics assimilate into American culture. Ethnic parishes that had the Tridentine Mass (like all their Catholic peers worldwide) switched to scheduling Masses in the language of the ethnic group. Since many native-born white Catholics have left the Church for various reasons, the bishops have been fighting for lenient immigration laws to refill the pews with immigrants from historically Catholic countries, which hasn't been working. This explains why in the Archdiocese of Boston Mass is offered in 19 different languages besides Latin or English!

Canon 518 of the 1983 Code of Canon Law states:

As a general rule a parish is to be territorial, that is it embraces all the Christian faithful within a certain territory; whenever it is judged useful, however, personal parishes are to be established based upon rite, language, the nationality of the Christian faithful within some territory or even upon some other determining factor.

Yes, unfortunately balkanization is allowed under the present Canon Law. It also doesn't help when all Catholics don't believe in the same faith and morals and don't worship the in same manner.

One Peter Five: H. received $1 million campaign donation from 2016 Peter's Pence

One Peter Five has an article suggesting that the Obama Administration forced Benedict XVI off the Papal Throne and that Peter's Pence, under Francis, gave $1 million to Hillary Clinton's campaign last year. (Ouch!) (Click here to read the article for yourself

Why am I not surprised? This seems to be the most logical thesis since the previous administration appeased Radical Islam with calling ISIS the "JV team" and the $150 billion Iran deal which will force the United States into a future war in the Middle East beyond our children's control. The current occupant in the Vatican doesn't defend the Catholic Faith and appeases Islam, along with most occupants of episcopal chairs in the West.

With evidence gaining day-by-day, I have held the suspicion that Pope Benedict was forced out by the bogeyman, which might have been Obama of all people!

Taking foreign donations for political campaigns are against Federal Law, period. Another reason why I refuse to give something to Peter's Pence!
