  1. Today's hierarchy are simply doing a form of the Bellamy Salute, which is itself a derivation of the ancient Saluto Romano. Everybody, including "Real Catholic Children" did it more or less that way until December 22, 1942, when Congress amended the flag code on account of Nazi Germany's use of the straight-arm salute.

    But I digress. I have a question which I hope you, as a fellow TradCatholic, can help me answer. Is it EVER acceptable for a Catholic Gentleman to attend a strip club, provided he does not throw dollar bills at the entertainers?

  2. If you actually research a more detailed history of the US Flag salute you will find out that there was no official salute gesture until the 1942 legislation was passed.
