Yesterday, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie signed a bill into law that bans "gay conversion therapy" for minors under the age of 18 in the Garden State, citing that "it's not a sin to be gay."
Well, I got news for you Governor, you're dead wrong.
The Governor, who claims to be a Catholic, is a potential GOP presidential nominee in 2016, when the incumbent (if the Constitution has it's way) is termed-out. I don't know if he is regular Mass attendee, but if he is, he must have not learned about the story of Sodom & Gorherra. Something like this tells us that being a Republican doesn't mean you are pro-life and pro-marriage (Just ask Romney).
Obviously, the New Jersey bishops have not said anything publicly on this issue, and if they don't, it is their own fault.
I just hope the Governor is not subscribing to Dolanism across the Hudson River. In either case, the next step for him inside a church should be the confessional.
