For those who live in the Northeastern part of the United States, you know that a major blizzard is occurring right as I write this, with total accumulations of 2 feet by Saturday evening. IF for are snow-bound and cannot make it to Mass safely on THIS SUNDAY, Feb. 10th, 2013, Quintagesima Sunday, then you are excused. (That's me.) But many priests might still celebrate Mass in front of nobody to fulfill their Sunday obligations at their parishes/chapels, so this doesn't mean that you'll see your parish on the cancellation list on TV. (Besides, not even one altar boy is required to celebrate a Mass validly!)
Stay warm, and pray that you don't lose power. Hopefully, you'll be shoveled out just in time for Ash Wednesday, which is Feb. 13th this year.
